Body of the City

Brought to life through intimate, first-hand accounts with the most influential past and present practitioners of Chicago Footwork music and dance, Body of the City is an inspiring story of creativity, community, strength and joy, a feature-length documentary filmed over the last decade with dancers and DJs from Chicago to Japan. Body of the City builds upon several short films including Making Tracks, Bang'n on King Drive, Meet the Era , Footworkin' in Tokyo and I Am The Queen. Body of the City is co-produced by Open the Circle. The film is directed by Brandon K. Calhoun and Wills Glasspiegel. It will debut in 2024-25.
